Madison - We lost a gentle, beautiful soul this past Thursday (November 11th, 2021). Jennifer L. Weber passed away at home after a lengthy illness, surrounded by family, friends and her beloved dog Jojo. Jen cherished her close friends and family alike. That same love that she showered on others was returned manyfold especially by her husband, Charlie.
Jen was incredibly passionate about food and cooking, spending time on the water, and she loved to immerse herself in a good novel. But above all, she was a devoted dog mother to her "fur babies".
Jen was born in Milwaukee on March 31st of 1971, but grew up in Sheboygan, attending Sheboygan South High School where she was captain of the varsity swim team and participated in the school band. After high school, Jen attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, graduating with high honors and a Bachelor’s Degree from the School of Nursing. Shortly after graduating, she accepted a job with Meriter Hospital in 1995.
She touched so many lives with her calm demeanor, radiant smile, and positive, hopeful outlook. Her caring presence affected numerous lives of patients and co-workers during her 26-year career at Meriter Hospital as a mobile unit nurse. She was particularly proud of helping initiate a vascular access program, which she continued in for 20 years. In that role, her warmth and spirit reached all corners of the hospital, and she was loved by all.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Charles Weber of Madison and his loving daughters Katie and Marta Weber; her mother, Linda St. Pierre of Middleton; her brother, Michael (Stephanie) St. Pierre of Holmen; her father, Robert St. Pierre of New Holstein; niece, Isabelle St. Pierre; nephew, James St. Pierre; mother-in-law, Doris Weber; and numerous aunts and uncles.
She is also survived by many people who were meaningful in her life. Special appreciation to her beloved aunt, Lois Solverud, for her love, time, friendship, and care; her godparents, Judy and Peter Larson; her “Auntie” Karen; dear friends, Jim and Mary Giesen; and many lifelong friends including Carrie Mathwig Ramseier and Barbara Butler Shircel; She also held her Serenity Sisters close to her heart.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Aurel and Edna St. Pierre and John and Anne Rossmeissl with whom Jen had a very close loving relationship; and two of her fur babies, Moxie and Stryker.
Heartfelt thanks from our family go to Dr. Robert Hegeman and Dr. Elizabeth George for their outstanding, compassionate care. A memorial service will be held at Cress Funeral and Cremation Services, 6021 University Ave. Madison, WI 53705 on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 2:30 pm with a visitation starting at 1:00 pm.
