Pierce, Kevin John

Madison:  Kevin John Pierce, age 53, passed away September 7, 2021.  He was born March 13, 1968 the son of Roy A. and Doris M. (Statz) Pierce.  Kevin was a 1986 graduate of James Madison Memorial High School.

Kevin was employed as a meat cutter for many years.  He enjoyed playing baseball, slow pitch, and softball.  Kevin enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends and nephew James.  He was an avid sports fan, and he especially enjoyed cheering on the Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks.  Kevin also enjoyed spending time with his family shooting pool or a good card game.  Kevin loved his dog companion Dakota.

Kevin is survived by his brother, Michael R. Pierce, his sister, Kathryn L. (Pierce) Sienko, his nephew James M. Pierce, nieces; Jenileigh L. (Pierce) Neeley, Alyssa M. Sienko, Jordan E. (Sienko) Schleicher, great nieces Scarlett and Leighton Neeley, great nephew Tyler J. Hansen II, along with many cousins.  Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Roy A. and Doris M. (Statz) Pierce; his grandparents, Irene (Endres) Statz, Frederick Statz, Wendell Pierce, Lucille (Druwe) Pierce, along with aunts and uncles.

There will be a visitation from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the Cress Center, 6021 University Ave., Madison, WI 53705, followed by a prayer service at 12:00 pm.  To honor Kevin’s love of the Cubs, please wear your Cubs attire.

AFTERGLOW

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.

Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
