PATRICIA DORIS STANLEY

July 15, 1943 – January 17, 2023

Patricia Doris (Rohde) Stanley, 79, of DeForest, WI, passed into the loving arms of her Savior and

Lord on January 17, with her loving husband by her side. She was born July 15, 1943 to Edwin

and Doris (Hochschild) Rohde in Baraboo, WI.

Patti, as she was affectionately known, was born and raised in Baraboo. Following graduation, she

attended Sauk Co. Teachers College in Reedsburg. She met her husband Robert during that time;

they married Nov. 7, 1964. They celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary, Nov. 7, 2022. They

have one son, Jeffery R. Stanley, who has been caring for them at home these past years.

As a devoted mother and wife, her love was evident for her husband, son, extended family and

friends. She lived out that love daily, always putting others' needs above her own. Through the

years she was active in the Madison Area Christian Women's Club and in various church

ministries, especially enjoying working with children. Her work life included factory work,

in-home child care, food court supervisor, and caregiver, both in home and in a nursing home

setting. She enjoyed being a homemaker, cooking, gardening, reading and mentoring and ministry

to others, especially those in need. She knew no stranger for long, as they soon became friends. She

loved interacting with people and never failed to share Christ’s love with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lorraine Coolidge and brother, Sherwood Rohde.

She is survived by her husband Robert and son Jeffery of DeForest; sisters, Marilyn Rohde of

Baraboo, Marge Hirst of Spooner; brother David Rohde of Menomonee Falls, as well as many other

relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held April 29, 2023 at Baraboo 1st Church of the Nazarene in Baraboo

(Patricia’s home church) at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kent Van Horn, Harvest Church of DeForest

officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service. A luncheon will be provided

following service.
