Aaron Scott Gagliano, age 46, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2017 in Madison. He was born on December 9, 1970 in Madison, the son of Victor and Yvonne Gagliano. He married the love of his life and best friend, Katrina (Katie) Edna Sand on July 21st 2007 in Minnetrista, MN.
In Aaron's youth, he was very energetic and social. He grew to be a very compassionate, patient, gentle, and thoughtful man who gave the best big bear hugs that would instantly make you feel better. After West High, Aaron completed his degree in Police Science at MATC in 1996. With Aaron's compassion and gentle patience, he later found a very fitting career as a CNA at Central Wisconsin Center and St. Mary's Care Center caring for Alzheimer patients. When Aaron wasn't working hard, he liked to decompress with Katie and their new adopted cat, Cheddar, at their home. He enjoyed cooking shows, crime shows, PBS, nature shows, and watching the Packers.
Aaron especially loved spending his time with friends and family. He looked forward to Sunday supper every other week where he enjoyed cooking and grilling for friends and family. He would always take mom to the Arboretum when it was lilac time.
Aaron loved traveling to Mexico and northern Minnesota to the cabin and to go boating. He made sure to attend the Minnesota and Wisconsin state fairs, go to concerts, local music shows, and fish with his family.
Aaron was a child at heart. During his teenage years, he would drink virgin pina coladas on family trips, and read comic books at home. To this day, he still ordered the familiar pina colada that he drank with mom and dad, decorated with super hero themes, and watched adventure movies. At family get togethers, it wasn't unusual to find Aaron playing with the kids. He was once given a 10 pound bag of gummy bears, one of his favorites, and indulged in the whole bag, piece after piece, by himself.
Aaron is survived by his wife Katie; parents; sisters, Malia Klinkner and Liliana Gagliano; brother-in-laws, Phil Klinkner and Jakob Gundy; Uncle Stewart and Aunt Hazel Palmer; Aunt Reita Palmer from Saskatchewan, CA and many cousins; Mother and Father-in-law Jerry and Kris Sand; and Sister-in-law, Gretchen Sand. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, aunt Carmella Sung, and uncle Keith Palmer.
