Adam Thomas Maue

Adam Thomas Maue, 21, of Sun Prairie, WI passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on January 23rd, 2025, after having a seizure. Adam was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2023 but had been managing it successfully with medication.

Adam was born on April 27th, 2003 to Don and Jenny (Fanshaw) Maue in Madison, WI. He grew up in Sun Prairie, where he graduated from Sun Prairie High School. He attended UW-Whitewater for a year and had recently started a job at UW Health where he was thriving among a wonderful team of co-workers. 

An avid reader and passionate video gamer, Adam loved immersing himself in fantasy worlds, saving the universe many times over. He was particularly fond of playing Dungeons & Dragons and often expressed his creativity by dressing in character for Renaissance festivals. 

Summers were especially meaningful to Adam, as he cherished time spent at the lake with the Fanshaw family. He also eagerly looked forward to annual trips to Western New York to visit with the Maue side of the family. 

Adam loved his friend group who appreciated his sense of humor, goofiness, kindness, and guffawing while playing video games. His infectious personality left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. 

He is survived by his loving parents, Don and Jenny, and his sister Kate. Adam was the cherished grandson of Keith and Beth Fanshaw and Don and Connie Maue. He also leaves behind aunts and uncles who adored him dearly. Among them are Eric and Jamie Fanshaw, Michael and Jamie Maue, Brian and Tina Maue, and a host of cousins who shared in his joyful spirit. He was predeceased by his aunt, Laura Maue. 

The family plans to honor Adam’s memory with a celebration of life on his birthday, April 27th. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Sun Prairie Public Library. 

May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him and had to look up to him because he was so darn tall.
