Champaign, IL - After many years of fighting illness, Addie M. Veasley-Fail, died on Monday, April 11, 2011 at her home in Madison, WI. Addie was born October 10, 1945 in Palestine, Arkansas to parents, Zett Veasley and Mary (Watson) (Veasley) Dobbs. Addie attended Hawkins Elementary School in Palestine, Arkansas and Moten High School in Marianna Arkansas. She moved to Urbana, where she graduated from Urbana High School and Vocational College. Addie married Albert Fail, Jr. She worked for the Dept. of Children and Family Services, for many years. She also devoted many years working in nursing homes. She enjoyed reading books and playing cards with her brothers, sister and friends. Addie was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Fail, Jr.; both parents; and six siblings. She leaves her daughter, Bridgette Veasley; sister, Annie (Veasley) Jordan; brothers, Will Veasley, Albert Dobbs, and Raymond Dobbs; the Fail family from Cincinnati; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH, 4303 Britta Parkway, Madison with Rev. Anthony Wade presiding. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at church on Saturday. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
