Adeline Halverson

Adeline Florence "Addie" Halverson, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 27, 2011 at age 98. She was born in Chicago on August 8, 1913, the 8th child of twelve, to the late Theophil and Constance (Ramion) Rux. Adeline was united in marriage to Orin O. Halverson in Chicago, October 8, 1949. He preceded her in death on February 7, 1987. Adeline was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She thrived on the hundreds of hours of volunteer work through various church, hospital, and community organizations that she threw herself into for the past thirty five years.
Adeline is survived by her two children, Constance Leta (Larry) Coe, and Ronald Orin (Marianne) Halverson; two grandchildren, Jennifer Ann Coe (Bradley) Fulton and Susan Marie Coe (Timothy) Anderson; three great-grandchildren, Alexandra Fulton, Leta Fulton, and Dakota Anderson. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, as well as great-nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, and six sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 401 S. Owen Dr. Madison, with Father John Nellissery presiding. Family will greet friends at church one hour prior to mass. Entombment will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery Chapel.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Care Wisconsin for many years of excellent care and to the independence that that care made possible; to the staff at Sylvan Crossing at Chapel Valley Assisted Living for the care and home provided for the past two years; and to the staff at Agrace Hospice for the wonderful care and support given to both Adeline and to her family during these last few months. Also, a special thank you to Joan Littel and Ruth Forester for the companionship and friendship they have provided for these many years.
