Agnes M. Kammer, age 91, passed away on May 9, 2010 at HospiceCare in Fitchburg. Â She was born on March 24, 1919, in Southey Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Christian and Katherine (Fegbli) Klarer. Â Agnes attended St. Victor's Grade School in Monroe, and graduated from Monroe High School in 1937, and Groves-Barnhart Secretarial School, Madison. Â She worked for Household Finance Company, and the University of Wisconsin Extension Division both in Madison. Â After raising her own children she lovingly cared for others children in her home. Â Agnes was united in marriage to Marvin John Kammer at St. Raphael's Cathedral on March 25, 1940. Â They shared 65 years together. Â Agnes was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Â She enjoyed golf, bowling, playing cards, and spending time with her family and many friends. Â Agnes was a member of the Madison Elks Auxiliary 410. Â She is survived by her sons, John (JoAnn) Kammer of Blanchardville, and Mark (Karen) Kammer of Eden Prairie, MN and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Benjamin of Spring Green; her grandchildren, Jill (John) and Joseph (Kristen); and her great grandchildren, Kelsi, Dane Jacob, Joe Joe, Jackson and Julia. Â She is further survived by her brother, John Klarer of Bridgewater, NJ, a sister Katherine (Neil) Neumann of Findley, OH, and many nieces and nephews. Â She was preceded in death by her parents, Christian and Katherine; her loving husband, Marvin; son, Bruce; grandson Jason; brothers, Frank Klarer and Emil Klarer of Monroe; a sister, Marie Hertel, Vista, CA and sister-in-law, Marcella Klarer, Arloa Klarer of Monroe and Kay Klarer of N.J. Â A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 602 Everglade Dr., Madison on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. with Father Michael E. Klarer (nephew and godson) officiating. Â A memorial visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of Mass. Â In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711 or to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Â The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at HospiceCare and to everyone at All Saints Assisted Living for their warm and loving care.
