Agnes E. Wrchota

October 31, 1917 — April 6, 2009

Sun Prairie /Deerfield- Agnes E. Wrchota, age 91, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2009 at St. Mary's Care Center in Madison.   She was born in Baraboo on October 31, 1917, a daughter of John and Nellie (Carmody) McDermott.   On September 29, 1942, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Wrchota in Baraboo.   Agnes enjoyed crafts and was proud of her Irish heritage.   She worked at Central Colony for over 20 years, and following retirement, she and Lloyd spent 10 years in Bonita Springs, Florida.   She is survived by 4 children, Al (Edna) Wrchota of Madison, Carol Mack of Deerfield, Kay (John) Corbin of Oconomowoc, and Jim (Becky DuVall) Wrchota of Arlington; 5 grandchildren, Shelley Mack, Scott (Lonnie) Mack, Christopher (fiance, Nicole Neitzel) Wrchota, Nick Corbin, and Ryan Corbin; 3 great grand-daughters, Amber Wrchota, Morgan Mack, and Lydia Mack; 2 sisters, Marion (Ron) Murray of LaCrosse, and Lois (Harold) Schulze of Janesville; and a brother, Victor (Monica) McDermott of Reedsburg.   She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd; her parents; 3 brothers, Leo, John and Dick McDermott; a sister, Helen Wrchota, an infant sister, Monica McDermott; and by son-in-law, Howard Mack.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 11:00 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church 434 N. Main St., Cottage Grove, with Monsignor Raymond Kertz officiating.   Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park in Monona.   The family will greet friends at church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Special thanks to the staff at St. Mary's Care Center, and especially to Katina Audrey', for all their love and care.
