Aileen C. Meyer, age 83, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Oakwood Meadows Assisted Living. She was born on August 19, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Matthew and Catherine Kramer.

She started her working career as a flight attendant for American Airlines. On October 15, 1955 she was united in marriage to Robert G. Meyer and the couple resided in Whitewater, Wi for seven years. They were blessed with two sons, Rob and Bill. The family moved to Sun Prairie where Aileen resided until August of 2000 when she moved to her Oakwood Village East apartment home in Madison. She worked at Brooks Implement Company for twenty seven years. She then moved on and worked in retail stores. Hughes and Hatcher, Gimbals, and finally Boston Store in the fragrance department. She was confirmed in 1955 and a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Sun Prairie for many years.

Aileen was preceded in death by her son Bill, and her husband Bob. She is survived by her son, Rob; her brother Raymond (Bonnie) Kramer; nieces, nephews and many friends.

The funeral service will be held at The Tree of Life Chapel at Oakwood Village East ,5565 Tancho Drive, Madison, WI on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 12:30pm. Visitation will be held from 11:30am until time of service at the chapel. Burial will be at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Central Wisconsin Center for Developmentally Disabled.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and caregivers at the Oakwood Rehab and the Oakwood Meadows Assisted Living for Aileen's care.
