Alan L. Andersen

Waunakee - Alan L. Andersen, age 67, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011 at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, surrounded by family. The Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Rex's Innkeeper in Waunakee. Al was born on January 5, 1944 in San Diego, the son of Albert ""Axel"" and Angela (Hall) Andersen. He married Sandra Lachnit on October 29, 1977, in Las Vegas. Al graduated from Madison West High school in 1962. He owned and operated the A. L. Andersen Companies, Inc. for 41 years, where he gained many professional and personal relationships. Al enjoyed traveling with his family and friends, watching his children grow throughout the years, regular outings with ""the guys"", and making everyone laugh by one of his entertaining stories. Al was described by many as a man of great character and integrity who cared for his family deeply. He will be dearly missed by many including his loving wife Sandy of Waunakee, and children, Hugh (Kelly)   Oldenburg of Waunakee, Brie Andersen of Cross Plains, William Andersen of Stevens Point, and Lucas Andersen of Stevens Point. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother William Andersen.
