Albert Kuehn

WAUNAKEE-Albert "Al" Kuehn, age 90, died on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at the Waunakee Manor. He was born on Jan. 25, 1925, in the Town of Springfield to John and Appolonia (Schroeder) Kuehn. Al married Olga Bowar on May 26, 1948, and she preceded him in death in 2006. He was employed at Oscar Mayer for over 35 years and served as the Waunakee Village Assessor for 11 years. Al volunteered for 10 years with Meals on Wheels and was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish for 66 years.

Survivors include his children, Karen (Jerry) Hahn of Dane, Keith (Barb) Kuehn of Vail, Ariz., Korene (Greg) Olson of Monroe, Kendall Kuehn of St. Paul, Minn. and Karla (Randy) Homan of Waunakee; his grandchildren, Julie (Jon) Sadler, Jill (Duane) Grinde, Jeff (Kim) Hahn, Jayson Hahn, Jim (Allison) Hahn, Timothy Kuehn, Michael (Liz) Kuehn, Jacob (Jennifer) Kuehn, Sarah (Matthew) Wojtovich, Diane (Scott) Gyorog, Todd (Maggie) Olson, Kyle (Jessica) Homan, and Ryan (fianc� Chloe Luther) Homan; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Madalyn Sadler, Kayla and Adam Grinde, Mitchell Hahn, Tyler and Mason Kuehn, and Annabelle and Victoria Kuehn; his sister, Elizabeth Ripp; sisters-in-law, Rosemary Kuehn and Martha Kuehn, Lucille (Frank) O'Connor and Bee Bowar; his wonderful neighbors, especially Randy, Lois, Carla and Marcus Gilbertson.

In addition to his wife, Olga, he was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Wilbert, Olivia Laufenberg, Raymond, Sylvester, Leonard, Walter, Arthur, Lavina Fedele, Lucille Grosse, LaVern, Bernard, and Kathleen Statz; great-granddaughter, Lillie Wojtovich; and numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at 9:30 a.m. at St John's Catholic Church, 209 South St., Waunakee. Msgr. James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call on Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home in Waunakee. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
