Alfreta was born on July 23, 1967 to the late Ollie Fox and Willie Burnett in Saint Louis, Missouri.
Alfreta was educated in the Saint Louis Public School system. She attended both Sumner High, and Beaumont High School. She graduated from Job Corps. She worked in various industries throughout her lifetime, but most enjoyed being a Caregiver.
She was a trendsetter and a trailblazer. She believed that all things were possible when you did the work. She was a happy, kind, gentle, fun-loving, mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend. She could light up any room she walked in with her amazing charm and personality. She always had places to go, and people to see. She enjoyed caring for those she loved, and creating new memories with them. She was always willing to help anyone. She would always say, “If I had it once I can get it again, and more”.
Alfreta departed this life on May 17, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jeffrey L. Scott, Morris Fox; one sister, Ruth Ann Fox; and one granddaughter, Mariah Addison Stokes.
She leaves to cherish her memories with her siblings, twin brother Alfred Fox, James Scott, Alline Scott; a loving husband of 26 years, Nathaniel Arthur; children, Sherry A. Dailey (son-in-law, Kenneth Dailey Jr.), Danielle D. Cherry, Charles L. Stokes (daughter-in-law, Paula T. Fields), Victoria Stokes, Marsha Stokes, Charlene Stokes, Xavier N. Arthur, and Deion D. Arthur. A total of 29 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunt, uncle, cousins, and friends.
