Alice Insley

Madison - Alice Maxwell Insley, age 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2017 at Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge. She was born on March 14, 1926 in Grafton, ND., the daughter of John and Clara Maxwell. She married Paxton Reed Insley in Baltimore.

Alice worked for Baltimore Country Schools. She was an avid football fan and enjoyed traveling. Alice is a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her children, Dave (Joan) Insley and Ginger (Tim) DiMenna; grandchildren, Timmy (Anna) DiMenna, Sam Insley, Leah (Mike) McKelvey, Laura (Nick) Harris; great grandchildren, Bella McKelvey, Liam McKelvey, Evan Harris, Benjamin Harris; siblings, Don Maxwell, Carole (Fred) Riley, Ken (Mary) Maxwell, Glenna (Kermit) Garske; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents John and Clara Maxwell; husband Paxton Insley; brother Gordon Maxwell; and sister Doris (Vernon) Dagoberg.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Oakwood Prairie Ridge - Tree of Life Chapel, 5565 Tancho Drive, Madison. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until the time of services. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Dulaney Valley Cemetery in Baltimore.
