Alice Jane Hibbard

Alice Jane Hibbard (Snyder) passed away on November 17, 2023. She was born in Chicago on September 23, 1948.

Alice Jane was a medical doctor specializing in transfusion medicine who served for many years as Medical Director at the Madison office of the American Red Cross. She also worked at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics.

She was an avid horsewoman and historian. She made significant contributions to the history of Thoroughbred breeding and of Richard III.

She is survived by her husband Bill Hibbard, her brother Hal Snyder, her nieces Alissa Kuehl and Eva Snyder, her nephew Josh Snyder, her dogs Maggie and Barney, and her horses Ellie, Bella, Millie, Nando, Lexi, Will, Floyd, and Gurnemanz.
