Alice R. Musch, age 87, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison. She was born on September 16, 1923 in the Mauston area the tenth child of eleven children of George & Fannie (Brownell) Lobenstein. In 1943 she went to work for Kroger's Grocery Store for eight years. She was united in marriage with Leo Musch on November 12, 1949 and two children were born into this union, Ronald and Janis. In 1967 they moved to Sun Prairie to be near Leo's work. Alice went to work for First Wisconsin Bank of Madison. In 1979 she took a job with the Sun Prairie School system and retired to nurse her husband. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Janis Schulz, Sun Prairie; her grandson, Greg Weisensel, Portage; her brother, Donald Lobenstein, Mauston; special nephew, Jim (Bette) Lobenstein, New Lisbon; sister-in-law, Gert Lobenstein, Sun Prairie; brother-in-law, Paul Fosbinder, Viroqua; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leo on April 23, 1987, son Ronald Musch on Nov. 11, 1998, son-in-law, John Schulz, grandson, Robert Weisensel, brothers, Willie, Fred, Clarence, Gordon, George, Raymond (Marie) and Robert, sisters, Helen Clark and Mary Fosbinder, sister-in-law, Alyce Lobenstein. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Hearts of Jesus & Mary Catholic Church, 221 Columbus St., Sun Prairie, with Msgr. Duane R. Mollenberndt presiding. Burial will be held in Sacred Hearts Cemetery, Sun Prairie. Visitation times are Wednesday, May 4, 2011 from 5-7:00 p.m. the Cress Funeral Home, Sun Prairie and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass. Memorials to the American Diabetes Fund or to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
