Alice Pulvermacher

June 13, 1928 — June 4, 2017

WAUNAKEE-Alice E (Heinz) Pulvermacher of Waunakee was born to John and Philomene (Miller) Heinz on June 13, 1928, and passed peacefully from this earth on June 4, 2017, after a several years battle with Dementia. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Walter E Pulvermacher; five children, Steve (Sharon) Pulvermacher of Portage, Ronald (Trish) Pulvermacher of Cottage Grove, Vic (Tia Scanlon) Pulvermacher of Sun Prairie, Lynn (Rick) Braun of Waunakee, and Rich (Laura) Pulvermacher of Waunakee; 16 grandchildren, Julie, Nicole, and April Pulvermacher, Kristie (Robert) Pulvermacher-Drape, Valerie Pulvermacher, Jill (Craig) McNaughton, David (Michelle) Pulvermacher, Kyle (Angie) Pulvermacher, Remington and Dane Viney, Kate (Ivan) Barragan, Michael, Maria, and Rebecca Braun, Heather Pulvermacher, Joshua (Jessie) Pulvermacher; 13 great-grandchildren, Bella Gabris, Dontay Roquemore, Jacqueline and Aidan Drape, Madeleine and Sam McNaughton, Charlie Pulvermacher, Jocelyn and Carly Pulvermacher, Liara and Oliver Barragan, Liam and Emma Pulvermacher; and three great grandchildren.

She is also survived by two sisters, Joan (Leo) Wipperfurth of Roxbury and Jan (Connie) Pulvermacher-Ryan of Madison; two sisters-in-law, Florence Hellenbrand of Waunakee and Ann (Glenn ) Johnston of Middleton; and two brothers-in-law, Jerry (Alice) Pulvermacher of Middleton and George (Barb) Pulvermacher of Martinsville. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Philomene (Miller) Heinz; in-laws, Florian and Henrietta (Lochner) Pulvermacher; her brother, William (Phyllis) Heinz; two sisters, Marion (Ray) Noltner and Jean (Nathan) Enge; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Norman and Alice Pulvermacher, Marcus Pulvermacher, Harvey (Margie) Tesar, Marilyn Pulvermacher, John and Bernadette "Toots" Pulvermacher, Sylvester Pulvermacher and Jim Hellenbrand .

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St John's Catholic Church, 209 South St., Waunakee. Msgr James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

Alice will be remembered for her loving and compassionate care of her husband and family, wonderful homemade breads, pies, and meals and the dedication to faith and family. She will be missed greatly by all.

Special thanks to Dr. Willliam Ranum, Danielle Manguilli, RN, Homestead Living staff and Agrace Hospice staff for the wonderful care given to her throughout her final 3 year battle with Dementia.
