Alma G. Fleiner

Waunakee-Alma G. Fleiner, age 81, died peacefully at the Waunakee Manor Health Care Center on Wed Nov 17, 2010. She was born on Dec 7, 1928 to William H. and Anna (Dorn) Fleiner at home in Waunakee. Following graduation from High School, Alma started a career in Insurance with Midwest Insurance and Hausmann Insurance Company, where she worked as an Underwriter. Alma enjoyed working with the same employees for 42 years. After retirement Alma enjoyed traveling, volunteering at St John's School and was a commentator for St John's Church. Alma always enjoyed her Bible Study Group and was very active in the church. Alma also loved sports, especially the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. She was an outdoors person and spent many hours in her garden, lawn and flowers. She loved to spend time with family and was the family historian. Survivors include her brothers, Albert (Janice) Fleiner of Austin, MN, William (Judith) Fleiner and Robert (Mary Ann) Fleiner of Waunakee and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Anna, a sister Marian and brother-in-law Mathias Adler, a brother Romain and sister Doreen. Funeral services will be held on Sat Nov 20, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St John's Catholic Church 209 South St Waunakee, Msgr. James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Sat from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank Nan Wild and the staff at the Waunakee Manor for the care provided to their sister, Alma.
