Madison - Amy Lynn Zion found peace on August 1, 2021 after a long illness. She was born on June 3, 1965 to Paul Zion and Ann Brennan Zion. She enjoyed a happy childhood in Greendale, Wisconsin, and was an involved resident of Madison beginning in 1986.
Amy had a long career at Humana in sales, a role that perfectly suited her outgoing personality. Outside of work, she fostered West Highland Terriers, attended many U2 concerts, and volunteered with Big Brothers/Big Sisters (both as a longtime big sister and as a member of the Board of Directors). She had an abiding fascination with New Orleans, commemorated with a fleur de lis tattoo on her back.
Amy was preceded in death by her grandparents, her father, and her aunt Mary Jo Zion, with whom she was especially close. She is survived by her mother, and her sisters Clare (Steve) Huhn and Alice Frohna. She was the proud aunt of three: Alex (Laura Lamansky) Huhn, Maria Frohna, and Andrew Frohna. She is further survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Dane County , or the Wisconsin Westie Rescue . We – Amy’s family, her many friends, her neighbors, and her coworkers – love her, and will miss her forever. A celebration of Amy’s life will be planned for a future date.
