It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Andrea Lynn Zirba of Madison, WI. Andrija departed this world on July 4th, 2023. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion. Her radiant spirit touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

 

Andrija was born in Janesville, WI on September 26th, 1983. She graduated from Edgerton High School in 2002 and attended the University of Whitewater where she played hockey. She was a plant lover, caregiver, healthcare administrator and teacher. She possessed a deep love for nature and found solace in its beauty. She took great pride in her Latvian roots and heritage and celebrated them often. She loved music, played the trumpet, and compiled epic lists of her yearly favorite bands. 

 

Throughout her life, Andrija exemplified unconditional love and an unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others. She inspired those around her to believe in themselves and to keep going. Her great sense of humor, infectious laughter and genuine smile could brighten even the darkest of days, reminding us to find joy in the simplest moments. 

 

Andrija was an extraordinary individual. She was a loving wife and stepmother, devoted daughter and sister, adoring aunt, cherished cousin, and a treasured friend. Her compassionate nature knew no bounds, she always had a listening ear and a comforting presence for those in need. Whether it was offering words of encouragement or providing a shoulder to lean on, Andrija had an innate ability to make everyone feel valued and understood.

 

Andrija's departure from this world leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered as a beacon of light, a source of strength, and a shining example of love and compassion. She will be laid to rest at The Natural Path Sanctuary in Verona, WI on Tuesday, July 11th with her family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

 

She is survived by her loving husband Stephen Baraboo, children Ida and Jonah, her parents Linda and Andy Zirba, her brother and sister-in law Jeremy and Kelly Byford, her brother Adam Zirba, her nieces and nephews Alyssa, Rylee, Ari, Talija and Mateo, uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends. 

 

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, let us take solace in the memories we shared with her. May we honor her life by cherishing our loved ones, living with purpose, and embracing the beauty that surrounds us. As we bid farewell to our dear Andrija, we find comfort in the knowledge that her spirit will forever live on in our hearts.
