McFarland - Andy, age 88, passed away peacefully on Feb 4, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. He was born May 13, 1927 in Lamont, WI, son of Irvin and Agnes Olson.

After serving in the Navy during WWII, Andy was united in marriage to Gloria Jefferies on Nov 12, 1953. He worked for Sears as a master service tech and retired after 35 years. His family traveled the U.S. in their RV. Many weekends were spent camping, waterskiing, and flying in his plane. Andy had an amazing passion for woodworking and loved spending time designing and building projects and gifts for his family and friends. He was the original 'Handy Andy.' There wasn't anything he couldn't do!

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Irvin and Agnes Olson; and sisters, Marie Olson, Violet Gatlin and Lilly Swanson.

Andy is survived by his loving wife Gloria of 62 years; daughters, Wanda (Jim) Norman, Cindy (Tim) Hoesly, Julie (Steve) Donoghue; son, Jeff (Jill) Olson; grandchildren, Jessica Norman, Samuel and Chelsea Donoghue; and loving dog, Sassy.

Andy was a loving and caring father who was always eager to share his knowledge and help others. His humor, kindness, and tender heart were very special to us. He was a blessing to our family and his sweet soul will live on through everyone that loved him.

Andy's family would like to thank Agrace Health Hospice Staff for their loving care. A private service will be held for the family.
