Andrew A. Zimmerman

MADISON-Andy Zimmerman, age 26, died Thursday, May 28, 2009, in Milwaukee. He was born March 6, 1983, to his loving parents, Alan W. and Mary Hazen Zimmerman. Andy loved music, reading and history. He had many great friends along the way who tried to help him with his struggle with alcoholism, but the fight was too much for him.

Andy is survived by his parents, Mary and Alan; his loving brother, Zachary; his grandmother, June Zimmerman; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors who loved him. A very special thank you is extended to his friend, Julie Edge for her kindness and caring this last year.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Andy's name to Rebos Chris Farley House, Attn: Ellen Wolf, 810 West Olin Avenue, Madison, WI 53715; Hope Haven, 425 West Johnson Street, Madison, WI 53703; or the charity of your choice.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, with a visitation starting at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Madison.
