Anita L. Mertdogan

Anita L. Mertdogan, age 70, of Homewood, IL, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 15, 2008. She was born in Aluksne, Latvia, and immigrated to the US after WW II. She was raised by her parents in Madison and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She married Akgun Mertdogan in 1964. Anita dedicated her life to her family in raising their three wonderful children. Anita is survived by her loving husband, Akgun; her children, Rifki John Goldin-Mertdogan of Oak Park, IL, Edvin (Laura) Mertdogan of Orland Hills, IL, and Cindy (Scott) Molitor of Sylvania, OH; her six wonderful grandchildren, Annabelle, Michael, Madeline, Jessica, Nicholas, and Katie; as well as numerous cousins. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2008, at Cress Funeral Home 3610 Speedway Road Madison, WI, at 12:00pm with visitation beginning at 10:00am. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery 1 Speedway Road in Madison. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
