Madison – Ann A. Fay, age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Agrace Hospice Care. She was born on September 8, 1937, the daughter of Andrew and Loretta (Hauser) Soeldner, and married to Verllyn Fay.
Ann is survived by her sons, Robert (Jeannie) Fay and Michael (Sheila) Fay; grandchildren, Michael Jr., Katherine, Elizabeth; and brother, Richard Soeldner.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents and husband Verllyn.
In addition to raising her sons, Ann worked at General Causality Insurance as an Assistant Underwriter. After retiring in 2005 she enjoyed tending to her roses, traveling, playing cards, Friday Fish Fry, people watching, bird watching for her cardinals, and especially taking care of her Scottish Terriers.
The family appreciates the care and compassion from the staff at Agrace. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Agrace or Good Shepherd Parish.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Parish at the St. James Church, 1128 Saint James Court, at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022, with Father David Carrano presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of mass. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Madison.
