Ann Meffert

November 17, 1968 — December 28, 2017

On December 28th, 2017 Ann Marie Meffert (Schmitt), age 49 passed away peacefully at Agrace Hospice while being surrounded by her family. Ann was born in Portage WI, on November 17th, 1968 to Eloi and Mary Lou Schmitt. Ann graduated from Lodi High Class 1986 where she was a wrestling cheerleader, active FFA Member, and FBLA President. Ann loved farming and grew up on a dairy farm and was the best tobacco planter in her family. She was always a farm girl. In 1990, she married the love of her life Jeffrey Meffert of Waunakee, and raised two children on their farm.

Ann helped in numerous ways on the farm and worked as a Unit Clerk and Surgery Educator at Dean Health Clinic for 22 years where she made many friends. Ann was an avid volunteer. She taught religious education at St. John's, helped with Red Cross Blood Drives, drove Ambulance at WAEMS and was involved in the Waunakee FFA Alumni. Ann enjoyed lunch dates, shopping and concerts.

She was a loving wife, mom and caring friend to all. Family was the center of her life. She was proud of her family and blessed to share a birthday with her niece Lillian. She will forever be remembered by her smile, beautiful laugh, and storytelling ability.

Ann is survived by her husband, children Megan and Luke, siblings Steve (Fay), Kathy (John) Endres, Pete, Julie (Philip) Richards, Joan (Larry) Karls, and Dan (Stacy); as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephew, and her in-laws Jack and Marilyn Meffert, Jean (Roger) Pauk, and Sue.

Ann is preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and close friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wed Jan. 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St John's Catholic Church, 209 South St Waunakee. Msgr James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call on Tues. Jan. 2, 2018 from 4:00 TO 7:00 P.M. At the Winn-Cress Funeral Home 5785 Hwy Q Waunakee. Friends may also call at the church on Wed from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the church cemetery and a reception will follow at Rex's Innkeeper in Waunakee.

Ann and her family want to thank all of the nurses and staff at Dean Oncology, UW Oncology, and Agrace Hospice. All of you made a difference and made her journey better. As well as Monsignor Gunn who has been there for Ann and her family throughout.

She will make the best Guardian Angel. Join us in a celebration of her life and radiant personality.
