Madison - Ann O'Shaughnessy died unexpectedly on December 16, 2011, at age 74. She was born in Seneca Wisconsin on July 3, 1937, the daughter of Paul and Susan O'Shaughnessy.
Ann was raised on the family farm, the youngest of 7 siblings. After high school she completed nursing school at St Francis in LaCrosse Wisconsin and embarked on a long career as a Registered Nurse. She later earned her Bachelor's degree while working full time and raising two teenage sons. Ann finally retired from nursing, leaving the American Red Cross in 2002.
Ann had a life long love of music, playing the organ in church for many years. Later, she learned to play the trombone and performed with the New Horizons 50+ Band. She also loved growing and cultivating her roses, and celebrating her Irish heritage.
Survivors include her sons, Michael Perry of Madison, and Brian Perry (Allison) of Eden Prairie, MN, and sisters Margaret Koopman and Jen Hermsen of Bloomington WI. A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 21 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 E Washington Avenue, Madison. Memorials preferred to the Second Harvest Food Bank.
