Ann Shapiro, age 93, died peacefully at The Inn at Sprucewood, Durham, NH on Friday, November 28, 2008. Everyone she touched during her long and rich life will miss her quick wit and warm smile.  Ann was born on January 15, 1915 in Madison, WI the daughter of Morris and Dina Robinson. She was predeceased in death by her husband Herman in 1994 and son Lawrence in 2003. She lived the majority of her life in Madison until 2004 when she moved to New Hampshire to be with her son and his family.  Ann is survived by her son Dann (Georgette) Shapiro of Greenland, NH; a daughter in law Barbara Roth of Madison, grand children Randy (Janet) Boss of Stevenson Ranch, CA; Danielle (Jason) Caturano of North Reading, MA; Gabe (Emily) Shapiro of Minneapolis, MN; Dena (Jamie) Hunt of Akron, OH; five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  Ann worked alongside her husband for over 25 years in the family business. Her volunteer efforts in the coffee shop at Meriter Hospital brought her a great amount of happiness.  Ann enjoyed the friends she made and helping others for over 35 years. Following the passing of her husband Herman, she also became a volunteer for the Alzheimer's Association. Ann was a lifelong member of Temple Beth El.   The family would like to express their appreciation of the loving care provided by both The Inn At Sprucewood and the Rockingham VNA & Hospice  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on November 30th at the Cress Funeral Home, Speedway Rd, Madison. Rabbi J. Biatch will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society. Â
