Ann Louise Thorpe

December 30, 1957 — October 3, 2024

Stoughton

Ann Louise Thorpe, of Stoughton died on October 3rd, 2024. Daughter of John H. and Patricia L. Thorpe. Ann, a true Norwegian woman as her grandparents came from Norway.  As a kid, Ann was very adventurous with her brothers, John and Jim Thorpe often getting into trouble. Ann had a love of animals and the family had a pet racoon, and pet pig, and many chickens as her father fought them, and had a love of horses. In her younger years she loved bartending and cooking and was loved by many in the Stoughton and Edgerton. She was known as the life of the party and had a voice that always stood out. Ann loved a good party and going on vacations with her son. She was a huge Brett Farve fan and Packer fan. She loved tv, dramas, movies, game shows, smoking, thunderstorms and Elvis. She loved hanging out and being a good friend.

Ann had dreams of joining the navy but became a mom instead and eventually fell in love and got married to William Doerr. After a short marriage, Ann moved to Stoughton to be closer to family. She got a job at Stoughton trailers, where she eventually moved up to lead inspector, a job she really loved. It allowed her to tell people what to do and she loved yelling at people. Things slowed down and she took a position with Subzero Wolf to work on the dual fuel line where once again she was the life of the line. She eventually retired from there but not before building lifelong friendships. As she got older, she still enjoyed cooking and going to her brother Johns Fourth of July parties, seeing her son and grandkids. Ann developed diabetes which got the better of her and eventually leading to her passing.

Ann is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, John and Jim Thorpe.

Ann is survived by her son, Andrew J. Thorpe, half-brother Mike Peterson and grandchildren, Adreianna Thorpe, Haedayn Thorpe, Nevaeh Smithson and her beloved cat Bud Bud.
