Anna Masino

MADISON-Anna "Vi" Masino, age 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Sunday, April 13, 2014. She was born in Darlington to the late William and Regina (Hunt) Mueller. On August 16, 1941 she was united in marriage to Joseph J. Masino, Jr. He preceded her in death this past January after 73 years of marriage.

Vi was active and one of the oldest members of the Italian Women's Workman's Club. After years of being a stay-at-home mom to her four daughters, Vi worked at Manchesters for several years until their closing.

Everything she did, she did well. She was crafty, a baker, and a master knitter, making many things for family and friends.

Vi will be deeply missed by her daughters, Mary (Bill) Becker of Golden, CO, Gina (Mike Halvorsen) of Madison, and Leslie (Scott) Steeno of Aruba; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; son-in-law, Dave Johnson of Madison; and one sister, Mary Brannan of Milwaukee.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nikki Johnson; granddaughter, Michaelyn Meinholz; brother, Donald, and sisters, Thelma and Priscilla.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at GOOD SHEPHERD CATHOLIC PARISH AT ST. JAMES CHURCH, 1204 St. James Ct. Madison, with Msgr. Tom Baxter presiding. Family will greet friends one hour prior to mass.

The family wishes to thank Hilda and Dwayne of Heartland Hospice, the caregivers of Heritage of Middleton, both Assisted Living and Memory Care for all their support and caring for Vi as if she was a member of their own family.
