Madison- Anne Lorraine Cerniglia, age 91, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at The Peter Johnson Hospice Center after complications from multiple falls.   She was born on September 5, 19 18, in Madison to Charles and Margarita Intravaia.   After graduating from Madison West High School in 1937, Anne worked for the Cardinal Market off of State Street where the Overture Center is now located. She was highly involved as an officer for many years in the Ladies Club of the Italian Workman's Club on Regent Street in Madison.   She served as president, social chair and chairwoman of many of their activities. One highlight of her membership was when she was selected their ""Columbian of the Year"" in 1978 and made the guest of honor at an elaborate banquet. While she sat in her screened-in room, she particularly enjoyed chatting with passer-bys going to the zoo or the Badger games.   Anne will always be remembered for her wonderful zest for life, her delicious cooking and baking, her impeccably well- kept home, her funny stories and her love for her family and friends. She was a woman of sparkling character, who never judged others, helped always when needed and was humble about her talents and accomplishments.   Anne was a gift to all who had the privilege of knowing her.   Can her family best describe Anne?   Oh yes, She was endearing to her family and friends, generous, Meticulous, Meticulous -- oh, and did we say Meticulous?, funny and friendly, organized,   pious, industrious, honest, creative and talented in the kitchen, a super secret-keeper and a ""you go, girl"" kind of gal   (her favorite saying).   And what did she like?... the color blue and wearing purple, strawberry shakes and strawberry wine coolers, crossword puzzles, the early morning newspaper and celebrity magazines, McDonald's cheeseburgers and fish sandwiches, pasta with lentils, stir-fried rice and creme puffs, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin   and her favorite song: ""I left my heart in San Francisco"", car Rides around the Madison area and the Wisconsin Dells to sight see, ""All My Children"", sending funny cards, making the softest meatballs and the tastiest pizza, her rosary, keeping in touch with family & friends with long chats on the phone and being proud of her Italian heritage.   A Mass of Christian Burial and tribute to her happy life will be held at ST.
