Archie Jenkins

Madison- Archie Lee Jenkins, age 82, died on February 25, 2012 while at Agrace HospiceCare Inc.

Archie was born on January 13, 1930 in Texhoma, Oklahoma, the son of Archie and Clara Jenkins. He married his wife of 60 years, Beverly Barnhart on November 22, 1951 in Loyd, WI.

Archie graduated form Lime Ridge High School and lived in Merrimac for over 20 years prior to moving to Madison. Archie worked for many years for Kramer construction and he enjoyed fishing. He also served in the U. S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly of Madison; 5 children, Jaleen (Timothy) Foley of Marshall, Gary Jenkins (Becky Wendt) of Baraboo, Janet Jenkins (Steve Gray) of Neilsville, WI, Chandra (John) Hunter of Sun Prairie and Joylynne Jenkins (Shawn Glawe) of Madison; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ella Box.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family.

Graveside services will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, 3054 County Road BB, Madison on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Tim Foley will officiate.
