Madison -- Arlene K. Meyer died on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at HospiceCare. She was born in Adams Township, rural Monticello, Wisconsin, the daughter of Albert Jr. and Frieda (Spring) Wittwer. Arlene graduated from Monticello High School and attended Madison Business College. Arlene was employed at the Monroe Clinic in Monroe, Wisconsin for 20 years, and retired from the State Medical Society of Wisconsin located in Madison after 20 years of service. Upon retirement from the Medical Society she continued doing administrative services for the Wisconsin Associate of Medical Directors from her home and was employed part time in the Department of Community Relations & Development at St. Marys Hospital Medical Center of Madison. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Clarence in 1967; a brother Wilbert ""Burt"" in 1992; and her sister, Florence Crouch in February of 2009. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Theresa Phillips; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, with Rev. Bryan Peterson officiating. There will be a visitation at the funeral home one hour before the service. Burial will be in the Sunset Memory Gardens. Memorials are suggested to HospiceCare or a charity of one's choice.
