Arlene Muzatko

Sun Prairie/Madison- Arlene M. Muzatko, age 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Oakwood Village East, Madison. She was born on March 20, 1923 in DeForest the daughter of Oscar & Kate (Hanson) Roisum. Arlene was united in marriage with Joseph E. Muzatko on August 9, 1944 in Madison and they enjoyed over 60 years of marriage until his death on February 3, 2005. She was a lifelong resident of the Madison area. Along with her husband, she owned and operated a farm in the Sun Prairie area. In her spare time she was an accomplished gardener winning numerous awards. Arlene was a longtime member of Peace Ev. Lutheran Church, Sun Prairie. She also enjoyed living at Oakwood Village East for the past 11 years and had many dear friends there. Arlene is survived by her extended family and friends. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Luralie, and brothers, Orvin & Clifford. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at the Cress Funeral Home, Sun Prairie with Rev. Luke Werre officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. A reception will follow funeral service in the funeral home's community room. Entombment will be held at 1:30 p.m. in Roselawn Memorial Park Chapel, Monona. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be directed to the Oakwood Village East Foundation.
