Arlette Helen Jordan

Middleton / DeForest - Arlette Jordan, age 101, died on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Sterling House in Middleton.   Arlette was born to Edwin and Anna (Hagenstad) Daley in DeForest on February 26, 1907, and was a Madison area resident all her life.   She was a graduate of Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, and was a teacher in Minnesota schools for several years.   She was united in marriage on December 4, 1948 to Fred Jordan.   She was employed by the State of Wisconsin, Department of Transportation for many years until her retirement.   She is survived by one niece, Marilyn Innman of Benson, Minnesota; great nephews and nieces, Thomas, Donald, Douglas and David Midthun, and Darlene Orrick all of the DeForest area, Barbara Kuntz and Cynthia Binger both of Minnesota.   She is also survived by several great, great nephews and nieces; and great, great, great nephews and nieces, all whom she dearly loved; and many other relatives and friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Fred; and three sisters, Sadie Johnson of DeForest, Ruth Daley of Madison, and Esther Davis of Staples, Minnesota.   Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at THE NORWAY GROVE MEMORIAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 820 N. River Road in DeForest, with Rev. Kathy Ulrich officiating.   Entombment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison.   Friends may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Saturday.   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the church, or HospiceCare Foundation, or the charity of one's choice.
