Arthur Budzak

Arthur Budzak passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the age of 94. He was the oldest of five children, born at home on January 9, 1930 to Stella Marie (Michalsky) and Stanley Frank Budzak in Milwaukee, WI. He was a graduate of Pulaski High School. He served in the Air Force from 1950-54 during the Korean War. He met the love of his life, Kathryn Sue Myer, at UW Milwaukee where he graduated in 1960 with a bachelors degree in education. For over 30 years he taught physical education and special education at East High School in Madison, WI.

Archie spent many happy years with Kathe in their Door County home enjoying bird watching and carving. He was a talented master artist carving beautiful birds.

He is survived by his wife Kathe, his daughters Ann Budzak Garza (Ruben),and Lynn Budzak as well as grandchildren Amy, Ryan, Steven (Andrea) and Alex Garza. Two great grandchildren also called him “Bop”: Aly Gonzalez and Felipe Garza. A man of extreme patience, kindness and love - he will be dearly missed by all.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
