Audrey Boyd

MADISON- Audrey Boyd, age 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2009, after a brief illness. She was born August 12, 1911 in Madison to parents Louis and Otillia (Hofmann) Goodman. Audrey attended St. Bernard's Grade School and graduated from Madison East in 1929. On March 23, 1934, she married Paul D. Boyd and they were married over 60 years. Audrey was a kind and loving person to all who knew her and she dedicated her life to being a good mother. She is survived by her children, Rene (Tom) Miller and Bill Boyd, both of Madison; grandchildren: Vicki (Dan) Miller-Graves, Sandy (George) Carney, Chase (Pat) Miller, Brian (Shelia) Boyd and Brett (Stephanie) Boyd; great grandchildren: Krista, Tanya and Josh Carney and Miranda, Corinne, and Elise Boyd; and former daughter-in-law, Nancy Boyd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Boyd; granddaughter, Nannette Boyd; brother, Louis and sister, Leone. A special thanks to HospiceCare for their recent care and support. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to HospiceCare Foundation, Inc., 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 27, 2009, at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, with a visitation starting at 10:00 AM. Monsignor Daniel Ganshert from Our Lady Queen of Peace Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
