August Bauer

Madison - August Bauer, age 90, passed away on Tuesday May 12, 2015. August was born August 6, 1924 in Germany to the late Georg and Barbara (Engl) Bauer. He married Berta Stoeberl on October 20, 1951 in Watertown. August was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church since 1962 where he was active as an usher.
He is survived by his wife Berta; sons Gerry Bauer and John (Wanda) Bauer, and daughter Ingrid Bauer; grandchildren Jennifer Bauer (Gordon Smith), Nicholas Bauer, Catherine Bauer, Andrea (Tom) Burkart; great granddaughter Michella Bauer; a brother Wolfgang Bauer, and many nieces and nephews.
August is preceded in death by his parents, sister Kristina Bauer, sister Franziska Ederer, brother Josef Bauer, Alfons Bauer, sister Maria Mages, and step brother Georg Bauer.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday May 19, 2015 at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Dr. Madison with Msgr. Jim Uppena presiding. A visitation will be held from 12:30 PM until the time of the Mass on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the Cress Community Room, 3610 Speedway Road, across from the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Queen of Peace School Endowment, or Agrace HospiceCare.
