Aurelia Bergmann

Madison - Aurelia L. Bergmann, age 93, died Wed., Jan. 18, 2012. Aurelia was born June 21, 1918 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Karl and Anna (Dusold) Mueller. She graduated from Riverside High School. She married Robert G. Bergmann on Nov. 9, 1946 in Milwaukee. In 1960, the family moved to Madison. Robert joined his brother, Franklyn at Bergmann pharmacies. Aurelia worked at Edgewood College for a few years and then at Cuna Mutual Insurance as a secretary, until her retirement.
Aurelia was a very loving and devoted wife, an incredibly compassionate mother, a loving daughter, a kind sister, a good friend to many, and a hard worker. Although not perfect, her imperfections made her even more loveable, for she was comfortable to be around. Because she could say "no", her "yeses" in life were even more meaningful. Now that she has become "invisible", life will be more bitter because she was so sweet.
Aurelia is survived by her son, Robert J. Bergmann of Madison; her brother and sister-in-law, John C. and Marilou Mueller of Menomonee Falls; and six nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and brother and sister-in-law, Karl and Marie Mueller.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held Mon., Jan. 23, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 602 Everglade Drive, Madison. Visitation will be held prior to service beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
