Barbara Buechner Ballweg

Cross Plains/Martinsville-Barbara Buechner Ballweg age 52, died on Monday May 10, 2010 as a result of Cancer surrounded by her family. She was born on July 11, 1957 to Andrew and Adella (Hefty) Buechner. She lived most of her life in the Martinsville area. She married Jeff Ballweg on July 17, 1982. Barb worked for the Wisc. Dept of Public Instruction and was recently recognized for 35 years of service. She was a member of St Martins Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women. Barb enjoyed flowers, bowling, softball and family outings. Her main hobby was making ""Stampin Up"" cards. Barb was also very active in her children's activities including; Girl Scouts, teaching religion, baseball and football and was a coach and volunteer for Special Olympics. Survivors include her husband Jeff; three children Tami, Andy and Peter; her father, Andrew Buechner; three sisters; Linda (Dave) Ripp, Mary Buechner and Janice (Mike) Lawler. Her mother-in-law Lois Ballweg; sister-in-law Jennifer (John) Frame and brothers-in-law Gary (Sara), Wayne, Kevin (Sue), Brian (Louise), Tim (Michelle) and Darrell (Debbie) and many nieces, nephews,Aunts, Uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Adella, her father-in-law Andy Ballweg, Grandparents Carl and Catherine Buechner and Herman and Loretta Hefty and a brother-in-law Bob Sutcliff Jr. Funeral services will be held on Friday May 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St Martins Catholic Church 5959 St Martins Circle, Martinsville. Rev Bud Hollfelder will officiate. Friends may call at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home in Waunakee on Thurs May 13, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.. Friends may also call at the church on Fri from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
