Barbara Bremer

Barbara J. Bremer, age 87, of Fitchburg passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022.  She was born on September 3, 1934, in Madison, to the late Benjamin II and Vida Preston.  She married her high school sweetheart, Vaughn Bremer on June 18, 1952, in Dubuque, Iowa. Barbara graduated from East High School. Together, Vaughn and Barbara owned and operated Fur, Fin and Feather Pet Store in Madison for 34 years.  Barb was an International Judge for cat shows.   She was a member of American Cat Fancies Association, President and Show Manager of the Madison Cat Club, and was on the board at the Humane Society of Dane County.  Barb loved to travel throughout her life starting at a very young age.  She has visited all 50 states, some multiple times and has been to many countries around the world.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Vaughn Jr. (Karen) and Bryan; daughter-in-law, Jackie; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Vaughn, son, Stephan, and parents.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 14 at 11:30 am at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 am until the time of service.
