Barbara J. Church

Madison – Barbara Jane Church, age 92, passed away on Saturday December 14, 2024, at Unity Point Meriter Hospital in Madison. She was born November 2, 1932, in Madison to the late Harry Edward Church and Ethel M Goodwin. Barbara is a 1951 graduate of Central High in Madison and was a long-time member of Bashford United Methodist Church where she volunteered often. She worked at Meriter Hospital for 11 years and also volunteered as a “Cuddler”, holding premature babies there for 16 years. She also worked at American Family Insurance for over 14 years, retiring in 1995.

Barbara is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Delores (Edwin) Ringgenberg, sister Bobbie (Leroy) Seely.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday December 30, 2024, at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3325 E. Washington Ave. Madison with Rev. Dr. Yohan Hong presiding. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the service on Monday. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison.
