Windsor-Barbara A. ""Bobbie"" Foster, age 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2011 at Parkside Assisted Living, Windsor. She was born on July 9, 1936 in Portage the daughter of Max & Dorothy (Schenk) Goetz. Bobbie was united in marriage with Loren E. Foster in 1956. She earned an associates degree in clothing and textiles and was an accomplished seamstress. Bobbie made many beautiful articles of clothing and dociles for the church. She had fond memories of her job at Hans Sewing Center , Madison . Bobbie worked many years at Northern Building Maintenance, Madison, and made friends there that she treasured. Bobbie's work in the tour industry at Holiday Travel was particularly enjoyable to her. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida , the Canadian Rockies, and her favorite destination, Hawaii . After retiring, Bobbie devoted many hours volunteering at the Sun Prairie Colonial Club and she especially enjoyed working on the trips and tours committee there. Bobbie and Loren loved to square dance and spent many happy hours dancing locally and across the country. We smile to know that are dancing together again. She is survived by her daughters, Anita (Bob) Tracy and L. Elizabeth Hendrix; her grandsons, Alex, Ben, Tom & Drew Foster and Matt (Jenny), Tom & Joe Tracy; her brothers, Bill ( Sharon ) Goetz and Donnie (Elaina) Goetz; her sister, Pat Willis; other relatives and many friends. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2008, sister, Marian Kinney, son-in-law, Dennis Hendrix and an infant son, Loren Jr. (twin brother of Elizabeth ). A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 3416 Swansee Ridge (Corner of County Trunk C and State Highway 19), Sun Prairie, with Father Michael Tess officiating. Visitation times are Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Cress Funeral Home East, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison and at the church on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin or to Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Parkside Assisted Living for their friendship and outstanding care during the last two years-mom cared deeply for you and we know you cared deeply for her.
