Barbara Gilbert

Madison- Barbara A. Gilbert, age 73, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, December 12, 2021.  She was born on May 9, 1948, the daughter of George and Ann Gericke.  Barb grew up in Middleton and graduated from Middleton High School in 1966.  She worked as a clerk for WPS Insurance Company.  Barb was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.  She was a wonderful seamstress, and enjoyed cooking for family and friends.  On August 20, 1993 Barb married Eugene Gilbert in Lodi.  She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Gene; brothers, George, John, and Richard Geircke; nieces and nephews; Gene's son, Bob (Tammy) Alme and their children Kyle and Carlie.  A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 5101 Schofield Street, Monona, with Fr. Chad Droessler officiating.  Entombment will follow in Resurrection Mausoleum.  Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, following the entombment, at the Highland Manor Shelter House, 10 Malibu Drive, Madison.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass at church on Friday.  Please share your memories of Barb by posting on her Tribute Wall.
