Barbara Grambsch

Barbara J. Grambsch, age 81, passed away on Saturday October 13, 2012. She was born on August 25, 1931 in Wild Rose, WI the daughter of John and Gertrude Witt. She attended and graduated from Fond du Lac College in 1951 with a degree as an Executive Secretary. She worked successfully at several companies before joining the Bethel Series in 1960. She retired and moved to Oakwood East in 2000. She was very active in her community there, working on the Welcome Committee and volunteering at the Mercantile for many years. She was a long time member of Bethel Lutheran Church, liked to go to Travel Log with her friends, go biking on the Military Ridge Trail, go birdwatching, and spend as much time with her grandchildren as possible. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her unfailing faith in God guided her throughout her life. She was well loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her son Michael (Deb) Grambsch of Madison, daughters Susan Kirton of Madison, and Mary (Rob) Percy of La Crosse. She is further survived by a brother, Ken Witt of Portage. She was a loving grandmother of eight grandchildren. A visitation will be held at Oakwood East at 5565 Tancho Drive, Madison, WI 53718 in the chapel at 10:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 10:30 on Thursday, October 18, 2012. Memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army.
