Barbara Faye Holmes, age 58, passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday morning, January 26, 2019. She was born on February 1, 1960, in Bruce Crossing, Michigan, daughter to Albert and Bethyl (Salisbury) Holmes.

Barbara was a longtime member of the East Madison Baptist Church and was devoted to her faith. She enjoyed music and singing in the choir. She spent time movies and reading. Barbara will be remembered for her love of painting and bringing laughter to those around her.

She is survived by her siblings Jean Holmes, Jane Holmes, Mary (Jerry) Roehm, Nancy Holmes, Patti Holmes, Keith (Nadine) Holmes; sister-in-law Betty Holmes; nieces and nephews Ken, Tammy, Tom, Teri, Beth, Albert, Schriee, Jeff, Jennifer, Tara, Rina, Jacqueline, Matt, and Brett; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Albert.

A memorial service will be held at East Madison Baptist Church, 4917 Milwaukee Street, Madison on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11:00 am with Pastor Bob Ray officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
