MADISON -Barbara Schultz passed away unexpectedly at home on November 4, 2017. She was born in Chicago on March 6, 1951. She graduated from Luther North High School in Chicago and from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. She was professionally employed in Human Resources at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. She later worked in Human Resources for the City of Houston, Texas. For her entire life, Barbara was a strong advocate for animal welfare. In her adult life, she was the proud parent of Meg the Pomeranian dog and rescued Mike the Pomeranian in January 2012. She was neighborhood president of the Park Ridge Neighborhood Association when she lived there. She was caregiver for her father after her mother passed away. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine and her father, Wilbert. She is survived by her brother, Bob (Janet), three nieces Debby, Tammy, and Candy (Mike). She is also survived by her great-nephews Caleb and Timmy and her special friend Rick Moss.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road. Madison.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorials to the Dane County Humane Society.
