Barbara "Barb" Friske

Stoughton – Barbara Jean “Barb” Friske, age 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 24, 2022, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg.  She was born June 11, 1943, in Stoughton to the late Wilbur and Virginia (Dutcher) Snyder. She married Calvin Friske on June 29, 1963.  Barb worked for 44 years at Carnes Corporation in Verona before retiring in 2006.  Barb was very caring and giving.  Her happy time was in the kitchen baking and cooking for family and friends.   Family was everything to her, and getting them together every week to talk, share a meal, or to catch up was important.  Barb loved to laugh with her family and friends and loved to entertain.

Barb is survived by her daughter Kelly (Peter) Grafton; granddaughter Emily Grafton (Truzon Thao); grandson Andrew Grafton; and great granddaughter Elliana; sister Sonya “Susie” Church; best friends Eileen and Bert Stacey.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Calvin L. Friske, and a brother Ronald Snyder.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday August 27, 2022, at COVENANT LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1525 N. Van Buren St. Stoughton with Rev. George Carlson presiding.  A luncheon will follow the funeral before burial at Lutheran Cemetery South.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the funeral at the church on Saturday.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of 5SW nursing unit of St. Mary’s hospital, Agrace HospiceCare for their care and compassion, and family friend Mary Miller for helping Kelly to care for her mom.
