Madison - Ben H. Hutchison, age 77, departed on his final trip and last great adventure December 12, 2017. He passed away in the comfort of his own home, and is finally at peace. Born in Ava, MO December 10, 1940, son of Harold and Helen Hutchison.
He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri and his Master's degree in South East Asian studies from American University in Washington D.C.
Ben was a world traveler and travel agent extraordinaire who visited over 130 countries in his lifetime. He was the best version of himself when exploring a new place in the world. He will be remembered as a man full of joy, the loudest guy in the room with the biggest laugh, and the life of the party. He was loved by many, and had true, lasting friendships with people all over the globe because of his incredible and magnetic personality.
Ben is survived by his wife of 49 years, Suzanne; children, Heath (Jenica) Hutchison and Paige (Stephen) Fecteau; grandsons, Cole, Rory, Cooper and Chase. He was preceded in death by his parents, and dear sister Mary Martha (Tom) Williams.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Maple Bluff Country Club, 500 Kensington Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Saturday January 20th, 2018.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The American Heart Association or The American Diabetes Association.
