Bernadette Mary Kluver, 89, of Sun Prairie, WI passed away on March 11, 2025 at her home, surrounded by family. She was born on October 13, 1935 in Brandon, MN, the daughter of Alfred and Helen Otto (Ledermann), and graduated from Brandon High School in 1953. She married Arnold Kluver on June 30, 1955 in Brandon, MN. They moved to Kenosha, WI soon after and raised 4 children.
She worked at Jockey International, Vigansky’s TV & Appliances, and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Kenosha. Bernadette was an avid quilter and a member of the Southport Quilters Guild. She enjoyed gardening and traveling. Bernadette and Arnold moved to Sun Prairie in 2018.
Survivors include her children Carolyn (Robert) Wheeler of Poynette, WI, Robert (Mary) Kluver of Kenosha; Mary (Jeff) Evens of Hudson, WI; and Scott Kluver of Washburn, WI. She had ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren, and well as four brothers and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold, grandson Kyle Kluver, and brother Norbert Otto.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church in Sun Prairie, WI on Saturday, March 22nd at 11:00 am. Visitation will be one hour prior starting at 10:00. Burial will follow at Sacred Hearts Cemetery immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Agrace Hospice Care.
