Bernadine Post

OREGON- Bernadine E. Post, age 90, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Oregon Manor nursing home. She was born on May 24, 1927 in Madison, Wis, the daughter of the late Werner and Isabel (Boness) Schou. She married Donald A. Post on December 1, 1951 in Madison.

Bernadine had a career as a cosmetologist but also worked as a state board exam instructor, cosmetology instructor, and ran election polls in Madison. Her favorite activities included bingo and knitting.

Bernadine is survived by sons Terrance Post of Pensacola, Florida, and Douglas (Jennie) Post of Oregon, Wis; daughter Janet Hageman of Belleville, Wis; eight grandchildren, Jennifer (Kyle) Taylor, Christopher ( Katie) Post, Kelly Post, Katie Post, Griffin Post, Brandon (Amber) Hageman, Brianne Hageman, Bradley Hageman; eight great-grandchildren; twin sister Berniece Post of Madison; sister, Leila (Leo) Clark of Phoenix, AZ; and many nieces, nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald; daughter Victoria Krause; sister Marcella Gottschall; and brothers-in-law Vernon Post, and Orren Gottschall.

Private family services were held Friday, July 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Cress Funeral Service, 3610 Speedway Rd, Madison, followed by entombment and Resurrection Cemetery.
